Welcome to Texas Mattings!
Put your feet up and stay awhile!
TexasMattings.com began in September 2003 after I saw a design on the side of a highway overpass that I just had to have hanging in my living room. That became this:
Having enjoyed myself and finding it very relaxing creating this, I began making other ones for friends and family and, after a while, even had a couple of nice folks buy one from me.
If you're interested,
you can view the various mattings by clicking the
link here or on
the menu bar on the right.
Then I got the idea to invert
the pieces and those can be seen under the
link.
If you want to see what can be
done when matting your treasured photo or artwork, click the
link.
And then there were those challenges presented by folks who saw what I had been doing and asked me to think outside the box!
While I still make all of the above listed items, I've since discovered the joy of making sawdust and woodworking is where I spend as much free time as I can find!
And a couple of signs
Not to mention a couple of other things, like Palm stands for a couple of churchs
an aquarium stand and canopy
a coffee mug rack
and even a pet casket, to put a dear friend and respected Police K-9 to rest
all
of which can be viewed in detail under the
link.
And any of those
above items can be
ordered if you desire...but my main focus for now, and the link which will show
you new items on a fairly constant basis, is the
link, which will
take you to my sister-site Blue-Line Dawg Puzzles.
As you can see, these are
word-puzzles spelled out within the shapes of various animals. Since my
other hobby is training working dogs in some of the available bite sports,
you'll see lots of the dog breeds used in those dog sports. But I'm not
limited to Malinois or German Shepherds, and neither are you, so feel free to
me with whatever breed you may be interested in, whether you see it here
or not! I've also got several other animals planned, including horses,
cats and birds, to name just a few!
And don't
forget to check out the
and visit the ones that might
be of interest to you!
Enjoy your visit and stop by the Blue-Line Dawg Puzzles section, as I'll be putting up new puzzles regularly...if the Good Lord's willin' and the creek don't rise! :)
